VOLUNTEER AT FIRE IN THE MOUNTAIN 2026
Thank you all so much for your offers of help. We have enough people at the moment but do keep an eye on our socials in case we need to open again for extra people.
You either work outside the festival and buy a ticket, or work at the festival for your ticket!
Confirmation of volunteer roles is sent out in March 2026.
If you don’t get a volunteer role this year, we’ll let you know before our final ticket release on 1 April at midday. This last batch is very limited, so please make sure you’re ready to jump online at that time. We can’t promise tickets will still be available, but you’ll have the same chance as everyone else in this final release.
Thank You for your interest in Volunteering at Fire in the Mountain.
We need lots of people to help make the festival happen smoothly, safely and affordably.
Volunteer Roles Available/Doing The Things We Need Doing:
* Parking Stewards. Working with our parking team to ensure all the camper vans and cars fit in neatly and get in and out safely
* General Festival Stewards. Keeping an eye on everything, litter picking, looking after the farm and all the people.
* Toilet fairies. Keeping our eco compost toilets equipped with paper and sawdust, cleaning and sweeping and emptying the bins
* Recycling Team. Helping us keep the farm tidy and zero waste. Last year we recycled/reused 98% waste.
* Washing Up Team. We have no single use plastic - instead metal plates, cups and cutlery are used across the entire event. Washing up happens in a central location with views of a music stage, so it’s a fun and inclusive role in the heart of the festival.
* Bars. Serving at one of our in-house bars
* Box Office. Working with the accreditation team. This role requires a lot of standing
* Runners. Pre and during the festival. You must have your own large vehicle (not live-in) to collect goods from outside the festival.
Volunteer Deal - what you get.
Fire in the Mountain Festival is a registered Not For Profit Event set up to look after the beautiful land and people on it.
We set up a “Universal Basic Wage” whereby everyone working on the festival gets the same.
* Everyone, from top to bottom, gives 16 hours voluntary labour in return for their Festival Ticket.
* Volunteers are also fed and given cost price drinks for their shifts. The number of tokens varies per role.
