Nick Hart is an award-winning singer and multi-instrumentalist whose work with English folksong has earned him a reputation as one of the most acclaimed performers of his generation. His considered approach to accompaniment is informed by a deep respect for the nuances of traditional song and his captivating live performances are a testament to the importance he places on storytelling.

The Hackney Folk Club is a New Music Night for London, based in Hackney, set up to explore, promote, and platform the wealth of folkloric traditions, music, songs and folk arts present in our city amongst the myriad of communities and cultures - out of the rich cultural melting pot of London come old songs, tales and tunes that have drifted over the waves of our ancestor’s migratory past, gathered and cherished anew in the present. Expect Headline Acts, Floorspots, Sessions, Singarounds, Mummers Plays, Folk Art, Talks, Walks and all manner of things. The Club is based at the legendary community arts venue Chats Palace, itself having a pivotal and important role in subversive and counter-cultural scenes over the decades.
